Day FIVE 21 November 2014

We started off the day with a mini celebration of Ms Mohan's birthday. Everyone got together and sang a birthday song for her!

Then we hit the buffet tables to recharge for the day.

One more for the road, while waiting for our guided tour of the vegetable farm.

As there was still time, he decided to show us some animals that lives on the farm.

Bet many of you have never been that close to a water buffalo huh?

Arrival at the airport. Many students wrote gratitude notes for uncle Lai, our driver for the last few days. He was very helpful and drove his bus with great care.

Day FOUR 20 November 2014

After a super long bus ride up the mountains, we finally arrived at the visitor center of the Atyal tribe. As lunch was still a few hours away, we got down to getting ready for our lunch by preparing a stick of bamboo rice each.

With bamboo rice steaming away, Chief taught us how to dress up for the occasion. On the way, he taught us how to sing tribal songs and explained their customs.

We present you the new members of the Atyal tribe!

Snack time! Oops, we have to make it ourself?

Many found to their dismay that eating Muah Chee is 100 millions times easier than making it. All queued up to learn the value of Appreciation.

As the rice got stickier, more hands were need to lift the pounding stick.

Mmmm... the tastiest Muah Chee in the world.

Bamboo rice is ready. A huge mallet was brought out to break the bamboo

maids from Atyal tribe preparing the BBQ.

Goodbye Atyal tribe and hello Touchen Farm!

First up, Pizza making. The oven is lit and readied for us!

Bag or Tee-shirt design.

Our products!

A quick dinner and the day's reflections.

When the skies became dark, we were ushered to the DIY center for the finale. Lantern making!

Our wishes written on the lantern and ready for launch.

All 3 lanterns shot off into the sky and I'm sure all our wishes came true!
